Job Title: Oracle e-Business Suite (Oracle ERP)  Expert ( Omani Nationals Only)

Department:Information Technology

Reporting to: Head - Applications Management & Support

Main Role (Overall Accountability)

To contribute to the profitability of the business by coordination and support of the Companie’s Oracle e-Business Suite system (EBS). The role will focus on the maintenance, data integrity and administration to all end users of the Oracle environment.  Responsibilities include below items but not limited to:


  • Managing Oracle e-Business Suite systems support and their related projects.
  • Managing and supporting the modules such as Oracle HRMS, Financials, Purchasing, Inventory, and system administration.
  • Implementing new modules such as Oracle time and attendance, HR analytic, iExpense, corporate GL, asset tracking and budgeting and iProcurement etc.
  • Acquire expertise in Oracle Hyperion Suite of Products (Techno-Functional) i.e. Financial Planning, Workforce Planning, CAPEX Planning
  • Technical Assistant Request (TAR) co-ordinations with Oracle metal ink support.
  • Handle custom configurations and testing of new functionality, custom objects and bug fixes
  • Promote and implement best practices across Oracle E-Business Suite raise and manage change requests within associated modules - liaising with Oracle and other 3rd party stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities


  • Develop and test new product functionality for point release with Family pack level.
  • Development of custom Forms to integrate in Oracle e-Business suite.
  • Integration of functionality and interface structure across the modules.
  • Facilitate workshop demonstrations and Conference Room Pilots throughout design phase.
  • Integration, interfacing with Oracle E-Suite with legacy systems.
  • Automate processes Approvals and Notifications with Approval Management Dashboard
  • Create functional specifications for required application extensions / customizations
  • Performing testing and rollout of the modules.
  • Performing the necessary upgrades of the modules as and when required.
  • Report development in Report Builder, XML Publisher & Discoverer.
  • Implementing CRs related to the functional & technical improvements and bug fixing of Oracle e-Business suite system.
  • Review functional specifications and Security System Administration.
  • Co-ordinate and assist each line of business with opportunities for shared applications and common business efficiencies.
  • Support improvement initiatives involving business applications for strategic, tactical and maintenance activities.  Also take responsibility for: time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; quality assurance and change management.

Qualifications 


  • Require bachelor/Master degree in computer or engineering.  Relevant professional certifications desirable (Eg: Oracle, Windows, IBM)

Technical Skills, KPI’s & Experience : Mandatory skills are listed as under:


  • Over 14 years of experience in a reputed organisation in the field of IT and out of which over 10 years spent in ERP system.
  • Significant development and implementation experience, in a role that requires application development in a project environment. Aware of industry and professional standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Background experience in performing module implementations in the Oracle e-Business suite.
  • Strong ability to collect and analyze information, identify key themes, trends, or issues, and draw conclusions
  • Knowledge and understanding of system evaluation and IT Security standards.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting & resolving problems related Oracle e-Business suite.
  • Should have the knowledge of gathering requirements from users and creating a Business Requirement Specifications Document (BRS) and System Requirement Specification Document (SRS).
  • Programming experience on Forms, Report Builder, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Workflow framework and PL/SQL.
  • Experience on Oracle 10g/11i, ESSBASE Database.
  • Experience on Windows 2003, Linux, AIX
