Job Summary:
A technical professional who participates in design, implementation, or support of IBM WebSphere Software Products or Systems. The WebSphere Developer provides technical input for the creation or modification of WebSphere system or product components. Decisions affect success of the project or significant portions of larger projects and have impact on financial performance, image, schedules, and customer satisfaction. The WebSphere Developer is the first level with significant independent decision responsibility and accountability, and may have leadership responsibilities, when appropriate.
1. Normally at least 4 years technical experience in Java and Websphere
2. Portal experience is a must.
3. JINI services, Struts, Swing, Hibernate, Spring DI, JSF, Web service and WSDL.
4. Excellent Java and J2EE concepts.
5. Excellent J2EE/OOAD Patterns
6. Good knowledge in Spring framework, Hibernate and Java Design Patterns (GOF),
7. XML, UML, IDE.
8. MVC architecture and knowledge of other design patterns.
9. Good background in Data Modeling.
10. Excellent knowledge in Portlets and JSR 168.
11. Excellent knowledge in DBMS systems (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)
Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Develop Java/Portlet components to be hosted and deployed at WAS.
2. Maintain and gather requirements from the client.
3. Deliver well structured and reliable products.
4. Performs software activities related to the development of components of software products or solutions.
5. Defines, recommends, and implements highly efficient software solutions which impact customer satisfaction.
