Job Description :
Purpose of The Job:- To manage and engineer multi-discipline design projects from conceptual through to detail design within tight time and cost constraints to an acceptable quality. Qualifications, Experience:- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.) and/or membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute. Minimum of 12 years experience in design, specification, construction and general project engineering of oil and gas facilities, with a sound knowledge (min.5 years experience) of project cost control/planning, systems. Time must have been spent as a single-point responsible project engineer for a medium size oil/gas/refinery petrochemical projects. Sound commercial appreciation and judgement. Good spoken/written English, and PC literate. Personality Requirements:- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to form and motivate a team within a matrix type organisation and run numerous design projects simultaneously.

Profile Principal Accountabilities
• Single point responsibility for the execution of design engineering projects.
• To fully understand the requirements of the office quality system and ensure these requirements are met.
• Ensure that HSE matters are given due consideration in project planning.
• Ensure projects are executed in line with Client/International/ standards and specifications
. • Actively pursue the evaluation and application of new technology in order to optimise future developments in terms of cost and operability.
• Supervise, advise and guide the discipline staff to ensure that their work is of the required quality. Highlight issues that may arise in priorities, workload, competency, etc.
• To develop the scope of work handed over by the Client’s project engineer for each project to achieve the specified deliverables.
• Exercising control over manpower and material resources in order to execute the project within budget, schedule, quality and HSE requirements.
• To exercise change control and variance control on each project.
• To ensure the communication with, and involvement of, all interested disciplines to each project. Reporting progress on projects to the Client’s project engineer in a timely manner, highlighting issues which could impact on quality, cost, schedule or HSE matters.
• To actively train and encourage the development of Omani staff to fulfil project engineer roles.
• Prepare technical documentation for Company tender documentation.
