Our client, a financial investment institution is looking for a Vice President of Discretionary Portfolios to join its expanding team. Based in Kuwait, preference is given to local candidates although other competent professionals with experience in the GCC would also be considered. 



Responsibilities:



• Ensure the returns are as anticipated and display high performance levels. 
• Direct the preparation of regular reports and updates on the discretionary trading deals.
• Ensure the preparation of instruction manuals and guides for easy reference by personnel.
• Devise a strategy for discretionary trading according to the discretionary limits set for each portfolio or asset group.
• Utilise opportunities for high potential returns to carry out discretionary trading deals ensuring the risks are weighed carefully.



Requirements:


• University degree in a business oriented discipline, preferably followed by an MBA in Finance or a professional qualification in Finance such as ACA / CPA / CFA / CFM / CMA.

• At least 10 years experience in areas relevant to Assets Management function in the corporate sector, preferably banks or financial institutions in the GCC, with a proven track record and competency displayed in trading.
