Job Description:
Our client, a leading company (in Services sector) in the Sultanate of Oman, is seeking to recruit a high-caliber person for the position of HEAD — INTERNAL AUDIT.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Direct and control the internal audit function and ensure that all financial standards, regulations and statutory provisions are complied with and there are appropriate internal systems, internal controls and procedures.
• Maintain a working relationship with external auditors to ensure that they have all the information they require.
• Manage overall performance of internal audit assignments.
• Develop, monitor and implement the annual internal audit plan.
• Present audit reports to the Board Audit Committee and ensure implementation of any actions agreed.
Qualification Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounts and Qualified Chartered Accountant. Certified Internal Auditor will be an advantage.
• More than seven years of relevant experience in senior position in audit function (including five years of experience as Head of audit function) is required.
• Less than forty five years of age with good physical fitness.
• As an integral part of the success of this company, the candidate should display clear leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, planning and time management skills and analytical abilities are essential.
• The candidate should be meticulous and display integrity and confidence in interaction with Senior Management and Board Audit Committee.
