It has interests in Building materials, Construction, Electrical, Hardware and Technology trading and specialized services among others. In UAE we operates on the flagship of SBH lighting. Now we are diversifying into technology based solution and acquiring and creating its own brands of quality products for GCC to be sold under the name of EUROALPHA. We are the market leader in Building materials and hardware in Oman. Based in Oman but we are developing with the regional offices across the globe, we�re on target to double our capacity within 5 years. Our major presence is in Oman and very soon we will be expanding in many other markets like Middle East including Kuwait, UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain & Qatar. The Operating teams for each of the Divisions and Brands is supported by a fully integrated, pan-regional infrastructure, incorporating best practice activities in retail operations, merchandising, marketing, IT, logistics, human resources and financial control.
Job description
Directing the day-to-day purchasing activities; prepares and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment; analyze market and delivery system in order to assess present and future material availability. Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies. Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instruction, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Candidate must be a bachelor�s degree with major study in business administration or related field; 10-15 years of increasingly responsible purchasing experience; International Experience in purchasing; preferable for candidates having experience in Building Materials; have to manage a team of 9 purchasers; management level class within purchasing series; knowledge experience in computer; good command in written and spoken English.
