Cost Estimator (Electrical & Instrumentation Work)
• Responsible for the estimation and development of tenders for electrical &
Instrumentation works.
• Provide estimating support in pre-bid submissions and pre-qualification documents.
• Attend site visit/inspection and job explanation meeting.
• Study the tender documents to clearly identify the scope of works.
• Prepare initial plans, scope of works and estimate for budget works requirements.
• Quantity surveying, estimating/cost activities for tenders and variation orders.
• Solicit material/equipment quotations and verify compliance to the specification.
• Solicit sub-contractor quotations and evaluate compliance to the requirements.
• Ensure timely preparation of estimate in accordance to priorities as scheduled.
• Provide technical assistance during implementation process.
• Develop / upgrade estimating standards by monitoring and evaluating cost of won work
activities compared to the tender budget prices.
• Ensure to comply with safety, health, and sanitation and environment requirement.
Qualification : - Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
Language : - Candidates must be proficient in English both written and oral; proficiency in Arabic language a plus. With valid drive license and able to drive.
Skills
The candidate should be an Electrical Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in the tendering/estimation activities of Oil & Gas Projects. Candidates of any Nationality with Saudi experience in contracting/construction/EPC companies in Oil & Gas sector shall be preferred.Quantity Surveying project estimation. Able to read & interpret technical drawings and specifications. Computer literature preferably with Primavera Software. Knowledge of construction / standards / building codes. Good communication ( English) & interpersonal skills.
