Job Description :The Brief Job Description is as follows :
• Prepare, advice and review all forms of legal agreements.
• To provide legal support to the group to be a contact for legal issues. Assist other business units in developing and drafting their policies/ regulations ensuring customer & commercial focus also compliance. Advice and draft on specific focus areas i.e. mergers and acquisitions, finance, corporate governance, and corporate secretariat.
• Manage Litigation.
• Protect the intellectual property / trademark / brand through the establishment of suitable legal processes.
• Ensure global legal and tax compliance.
• Identify ways of reducing legal risk.
• Control the quality and cost of legal services provided by external law firms and overseas counsel (as appropriate).
• Drafting and negotiating international service agreements.
• Provide claims & dispute management support during the execution of the contracts.
• Internal policies to ensure that they comply with the laws of the country.
• Participate in Arbitration procedures.
• Handle legal matters that will cover development, project management, asset management, joint venture, shareholder, leasing, agencies & real estate.
• Miscellaneous tasks relating to the above or related to achieving the overall objectives of the group from a legal perspective.
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile The candidate needs to have the following attributes : • Minimum 6 years of commercial/transactional and/or litigation experience. • Confident team player with excellent communication skills. Fluency in English and Arabic, with ability to draft and negotiate legal documents. • Highly developed commercial acumen. • Customer focused & solutions oriented innovative thinker • Good Negotiation skills • Self starter and be able to work autonomously. • Experience in managing & developing junior legal staff • Interpersonal skills are essential with the need to be able to interact with staff of all levels. • Delegating Responsibility, Accountability, Analytical Thinking. • Demonstrated prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Ability to provide creative business-oriented advice in a global, multi-cultural and fast-paced environment.
