Job Description
• Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipments and related services
• Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support
• Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations
• Maintain and support company’s LAN/WAN environment
• Windows and Linux systems, business applications, anti-virus protection, email, and authentication administration.
• Responds to reported security violations received from users and operating units
• Manages and configures hardware and software firewalls and related security protection tools
• Investigates validity of all reported security violations (e.g., analyzes relevant logs, tries to duplicate violations) and advises management/functional organizations as required
• Follows up with affected users regarding the cause(s) of security violation incidents. Conducts audits of user workstations and network access points
• Documents security incidents for record purposes.
• Develops and installs tools to monitor the network for suspicious activity.
• Runs tests and verifies output from logs of bandwidth enforcement programs and scripts.
• Ensures that all security projects are documented as required.
• Investigates suspicious network activity (e.g. bandwidth spikes, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, IP, and DHCP problems).
• Develops and implements regular network security scanning procedures and monitors results
• Provides planning and technical support for installations in compliance with the security policies.
• Provides input to management on the design of secure networks and improvements to the existing network.
• Acts as the primary interface with vendors, if required, to resolve security problems.
• Identifies and notifies approved users of vulnerable computers and suggested remediation.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Cisco Products, preferably CCNP with Security experience.
This person will help design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain networks.
