INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER
The manager will be responsible for the implementation of latest generation technology within
the organization and manage a team of systems/business analysts and computer support
specialists.
Duties will include:
• Planning, developing and implementing the information technology budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness;
• Managing and setting performance parameters and training for the IT support staff;
• Evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that the company’s facilities meet these needs;
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems;
• Research and installing new systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision;
• Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to;
• Providing secure access to the network for remote users;
• Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack;
• Providing users with appropriate support and advice;
• Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems;
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
The selected candidate will have strong experience in implementing ERP systems in a manufacturing
environment and will preferably have detailed knowledge of Microsoft ERP systems.
He will have a university degree in computer Science or similar and will be Microsoft certified.
