Job Description Ref: Legal Director, Dubai
A leading Middle East based financial investment institution with its core business mainly in Asset Management, Private Equity, Brokerage, Corporate Finance and Investments in MENA, is looking for a Legal Director to join its dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate has to establish the legal processes, procedures and policies required to support the growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
• Build a team of professionals to effectively and efficiently manage the legal function.
• Liaise with external legal firms, co-ordinate their work and manage their performance.
• Draft institutional investment management agreements and all other legal agreements.
• Manage all legal affairs of the entities in the company, its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associated funds.
• Coordinate with management for obtaining licenses and draft deal documents as well as negotiate individual business deals.
Responsibilities:
• University law degree from a prestigious law school.
• Familiar with the local UAE as well as the English Law.
• At least 10 years experience in private practice as well as financial investment institutions in the GCC, with heavy focus on M&A, investment banking and funds structuring.
