Job Description
Establishing Environmental Management Systems based on ISO 1400:2004 standards
Conducting hazardous-waste management studies to evaluate the significance of any hazards, advising on treatment and containment, and developing plans to prevent mishaps.
Conducting research on the environmental impact of proposed construction projects, analyzing scientific data, and performing quality-control checks.
Acting as a resource for the management team and other staff members and providing technical support when required
Effectively communicating relevant issues to the management team, other technical staff members and the regulatory authorities
Reading, interpreting and applying laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures within the organization
Skills and Experience Required
The Ideal Candidate will have 15 years of experience in the fields of water and wastewater treatment on oil & gas, commercial buildings and industrial projects
You should have proven experience establishing Environmental Management Systems in the construction and contracting fields
You must be fully competent in conducting environmental impact assessments and preparing environmental management plans for construction projects
You must have previous auditing experience based on ISO 14001 standards.
You will have a Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
