We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Head Chef to manage and supervise our Hospital Kitchen Operation including Room Service and a Cafeteria located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The hospital has 66 rooms and 100 beds and is on expansion so a really interesting and challenging assignment is awaiting you in this position.

This includes to oversee, direct and perform the daily execution of all assigned food production and service execution while establishing and maintaining standards of operation in the areas of food quality, time lines of food, cleanliness and maintenance, profitability and supervision of staff.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES required:

• Minimum 5 years work experience in International Hotel and similar establishments or Hospital.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef / Head Chef

• Fluent in English written and spoken

• Operational hands on Management style

• Experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage but not essential

• Arabic and Western cuisine knowledge

• Basic bakery knowledge

• Very good communication, training and leader ship skills

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to delegate tasks with proper instructions with follow through and follow up

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times

• Excellent knowledge of HACCP

• Dietary Skilled is an advantage but not a must

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment

• Computer literacy to include Excel Spreadsheet and Word experience

• Ability to calculate, analyze and troubleshoot P&L, food costs,

• Assumes full responsibility for the costing of all food items produced and oversees the proper storage and receiving of food items throughout the operation.

• Controls, monitors and supervises the monthly inventory

• Ability to plan and execute projects and quantify results

• Develops action plans aimed to introduce new items for all staff and carries out daily briefings

Basic Monthly Salary: depending on experience
