Established in terms of Royal Decree M/29 of 18 October 2000 (22 Rajab 1421 Hijra) as a joint-stock company, Marafiq is owned by its four major shareholders - Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RC) - and seven private sector investors. Marafiq started operating as a private power and water utility company on 1 January 2003, with SR 2, 5 billion of initial owner equity.
Marafiq's headquarters are in Jubail Industrial City on the Arabian Gulf, and the regional office is based in Yanbu Industrial City on the Red Sea. A representative office is located in the capital Riyadh.
Job description
Assist in the operation and maintenance of Waste Water treatment facilities including interim package treatment plants, centralized treatment plant for industrial wastewater, in line with operational guidelines and parameters. Monitor the plant process parameters and assist remediation measures in order to restore deviations/abnormal conditions.Prepare technical evaluations and develop proposals with recommendations in order to help identification of opportunities for improving plant efficiency and implement approved plans as appropriate in order to support the continual technical improvement of the Industrial Waste Water plant and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering ( Civil/Chemical or Environmental Engineering)
knowledge of design principles of equipment and facilities, experience with biological treatment plants
Knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of a comprehensive waste water treatment and water reclamation program
Technicalversatility is required since processes involve application of all branches of science physics, chemistry and biology
Good knowledge of NSF procedures and EPA, WHO & MEPA waste water guidelines in order to control operations in compliance with the guidelines.
