Job Description :
Purpose of the Job: Overall responsible for the project planning of the various Projects for the Divisions and to oversee the Contracts Administration of the Projects. Supporting all Divisions (profit centers) it is responsible for monitoring and auditing the activities reported by the field based representatives at each project site. It assigns and assesses the progress of the Projects, provides support and guidance to field personnel and consolidates the reports generated into weekly/monthly reports for COO review. Duties Ensure contract terms and conditions are as per the standard and terms and conditions and protect the interest of the Company. Input to the division at the time of estimation and execution the best practices and methodology for completing the projects including milestones and time lines. Ensure Quantity survey for billing and ensure that the contract is being executed as per the terms and conditions of the agreement. Responsible to the COO to ensure all commercial aspects of the Divisions are controlled to meet the profitability aims of the Executive Management. Coordination of the Cost Engineering, Planning and Contract Administration Group functions to support Projects and meet tight deadlines should they arise. Monitor and coordinate Contract claims and lead the negotiations with the Client through completion. Advise and monitor maximization of commercial opportunities. Monitor Project planning progress values and advise the advantageous method to recover slippage. Review cost impact of recovery/acceleration schedules and advise COO. Oversee and verify Monthly Company reports and summary Financial Reports of Projects. Bidding Stage/Pre-award preview of Contractual Terms and Conditions for Tenders under preparation to ensure contractual risks/liabilities are either properly covered during pricing or adequately qualified in Tender Submission. Award of Contract review of contract awards for compliances with tender and or any negotiated adjustments. Accepted awards, development of the estimated budget into the construction budget, then in coordination with Planning, prepare an analysis of the construction budget into the approved work breakdown structure included in baseline Primavera construction schedule. Measuring progress of actual work performed and monitoring against scheduled work to be performed. Preparation of supporting data/measurement for submission to facilitate periodic progress payments for invoicing. Evaluation of differences between scheduled work performed and actual work performed to determine root cause of variance. Evaluation of changes in work volume and schedule. Analysis of impact of changes in work volume and schedule. Notification to client of changes potential claims (contractual correspondence). Preparation of claims including all supporting documentation. Receive and review tendered construction schedule including CPM, MRP & ERP. Revise tender schedule to incorporate that latest data relative to awarded scope of work, milestone schedules and reconfirm or adjust CPM, MRP & ERP. Perform PMD related duties and responsibilities as required.
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile Qualification: Engineering Graduate, ideally mechanical (not a must) Experience: Grass roots construction experience, CAD experience in Construction exposure to Project Management techniques (FEDIC) Project management software knowledge total of 20 years experience out of which 3 – 5 years handling a similar job.
