A leading international insurance company urgently requires experienced and high caliber individuals for the post of Senior Underwriter of Engineering Lines.
Job Requirements:
> Applicants from Engineering / Technical education and background highly preferred.
> Work experience of 5 to 10 years in underwriting in CAR and EAR is required.
> Work experience should include larger projects and in corporate property risks.�
> Should possess a demonstrated track record of negotiating successful insurance and reinsurance placements with clients , ceding companies and brokers in the GCC region.
> Preference to applicants with experience and skills in LoBs.
> Effective communication skills in English is required.
> Having communication skills in French and Arabic will be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities:
> Support the ME Practice Leader for Construction and Property with utilization of risk engineering resources and new product development.
> Provide underwriting leadership across all engineering lines of business for the Middle East region.
> P&L responsibility; as well as financial planning and budgeting.
> Track portfolio experience to create better benchmarks and develop reference (“technical”) pricing.
> Manage, train and develop associate and supporting underwriters.
