Job Description:

A well respected International Bank requires a Head of Credit Risk Management to direct and lead all credit related development requirements, implementation and training in order to improve the group’s Credit Risk Management capabilities. Coordinate the group wide risk strategy to ensure it reflects the enterprise risk appetite set by the board risk committee.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create procedures and guide lines, refine risk measurement methodologies as well as perform other ongoing enhancements.

• Lead the development and review of the group’s credit policy of the parent bank and the group.

• Coordinate the formulation and recommendation of an annual risk appetite & strategy (i.e., risk return on capital/equity risk limits and return on capital guidelines etc.) to the Board Risk Committee, dovetailing with the Business strategy.

• Direct key initiatives in relation to the development and enhancement of credit risk measurement methodologies including risk rating systems, obligor thresholds etc.

Qualification Requirements:

• Have a strong understanding of Credit analysis and policies.

• Very good accounting and banking knowledge.

• A good degree in business administration or other financial discipline such as professional Banking/accounting diploma etc., with extensive experience of core banking (Corporate Banking/Credit/Risk) experience in the GCC is desirable.

• Good understanding of Risk Management principles.

• Fluent English (Read, Write and Speak).
