The Role:
As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll be providing professional IT Support for the company in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting PC’s/Laptop’s, Printers and other computer peripherals.
Configuring Desktop/Notebook PC’s, Printers, Scanner, e-mail account and Telephone extension (IP phone/Digital) for new joiners and existing staff.
Installation and configuration of MS Office applications and all other client applications that is required for a user in a respective department.
Ensure that all software’s installed on company desktop/laptop PC’s are licensed.
Sorting out network connection and network related issues for users.
Employee transfer to other contracts/locations/desk (IP settings; profile copying when computer changes).
Changing extension numbers ie when employee moves desk, name change on display, message box setup, configuring group pick-up and call diverts.
Maintain the Global Address Book (Outlook Contact) and ensure the list is always updated.
Install and test new software/hardware and make software/hardware available to appropriate users;
Ensure the anti-virus software is installed, kept up to date and working properly on all workstations;
Set up and maintain user e-mail accounts, shared hard drives;
Maintain servers, workstations, network switches, computer rack, power supplies, UPS, computer peripheral equipment, scanners, printers, whiteboards, projectors; ensure that these are prepared and ready to be used;
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge:
Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree
Minimum 1 year experience as Computer or IT Support role
