Job Description:
Executive Solutions is urgently recruiting for Purchasing Manager for a major, international, Construction Company, working on a prestigious, mixed-use project based in Abu Dhabi.
Job Summary:
Manage and coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products and services by ensuring the purchasing operation performed is in accordance with the Company's regulations and policies
Job Objectives
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Manage and oversee purchasing process in line with the daily site requirements
a. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
b. Reviews and approves Order Confirmations & Contracts, Price Comparison & Quotations, Credit Invoice Statements, and Cash Purchase Statements.
c. Engage suppliers to deliver purchased items for site as per baseline programme and contractual agreement
d. Ensure that all purchasing is aligned with the contractual and baseline programme agreement
e. Ensure all purchases are inline with specifications and site requirements and are received in timely manner
f. Review catalogs, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals, and Internet sites, and consult with other department personnel to locate necessary goods and services."
2. Management of small monetary purchases (up to 5000 AED) for site requirements
a. Determine the market prices to the small purchases required by sites
b. Negotiate the best prices with the suppliers
c. Forward the final costing to HOD Contracts and HOD Operations"
Qualification:
· The candidate must have an Engineering background
· At least 10 years experience in handling purchase in construction projects
· Must have knowledge of Site Projects and Project Management
· Preferably with purchasing and procurement experience
· Must have Negotiating and Selling Skills
· Fluent in English and preferably Arabic speaking
