Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree Electrical/ Instrument engineering or construction related engineering degree
Minimum Experience:
At least 10 years work experience in similar role in AFL construction projects
Good oral and written communication skills in English, Proficiency Arabic (optional)
International mobility
Excellent in understanding of electrical, single line, wiring diagrams
Gulf experience and GCC Driving License will be an added advantage.
Competency:
Plans and lays out airports and landing fields and directs construction work involved in leveling fields, laying out and surfacing runways.
Designs runways based on weight and size of aircraft and prepares material and construction specifications.
Directs or participates in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
Job Description:

He should coordinate and supervises all constructions site related issues.
Responsible for the construction site, and works with PM/CM, contractors, construction companies to monitor developments.
Must be computer literate and well conversant in MS office packages.
Report on daily inspection and testing activities.
The candidates will have to be well organized, talented and autonomous in his job.
He will be able to make the right decision at his level.
Observes progress of construction to ensure work is in conformity with specifications and advises Head of Projects regarding necessary corrections.
May serve as agent or employee of contractor and study plans and specifications to recommend special equipment or procedures to reduce time and cost of construction.
May schedule delivery of materials, analyze costs, and provide technical advice in solution of construction problems.
The scope of work is generally described but not limited to:
1. Complete review of scope of work for the project(s) assigned to him by management based on the contract document issued by client.
2. Finalise the team who will assist him to execute the project. Finalisation of team is done in association with the Manager – Engineering.
3. Prepare programme for execution of work – preconstruction ( material procurement / shop drawing ), construction works, testing / commissioning / handing over.
4. Finishing material requirement, issue Purchase Enquiry, Tender Assessment, Price / Commercial part negotiation, obtain material approval from Client, Order Placement, witness shop test, expediting material delivery.
5. Overview shop drawing preparation work, obtaining Client’s approval on shop drawings, issuing approved drawings to Clint / Site for execution of work. This also includes obtaining site ‘as-built’ data on shop drawing during the execution of work and getting the ‘as-built’ drawings done.
6. Attend site meetings, write official letters, overview preparation of Variations, prepare claims for extension of time. Knowledge of JCT, FIDIC conditions of contract is essential.
7. Regular update progress report / invoices and settle final accounts with client, monitoring and control the budgeted cost, motivate team and complete the project within the specified cost and time.
8. Preparation of ORM manual and obtaining the handing over certificate from the Client.
9. Carry out the Company’s quality programme as advised to him from time to time.
