Applications are invited for the post of Director, Facilities & Estate Management.

Qualifications: Degree in Facilities Planning & Management or equiv. 
Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in facilities management, real estate, environmental health and safety (EH&S), building systems and grounds, and overall facility optimization. Knowledgeable in LEED green building rating system, building codes and safety regulations. 

The Director, Facilities Management is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of all the company’s real estate buildings and building-related equipment, machinery and systems, including establishing and overseeing environmental health and safety programs and standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Will directly oversee the duties and responsibilities of the facility where located and will manage and provide input and guidance to other real estate locations through local on-site facility staff or service providers. Base in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Skills:

3.Ensure that all facilities are operated in compliance with all UAE and GCC regulations. Provide guidance and direction for facility management regarding compliance with governmental environmental, health and safety regulations. Lead compliance EH&S audits of facilities. Implement and maintain effective EH&S management programs through innovative processes, technologies, procedures and internal controls consistent with Corporate Policies and governmental regulations. Interact with insurance and regulatory representatives to ensure compliance with requirements. Ensure the proper installation, operation and maintenance of facility EH&S systems. 
4.Oversees facility modifications, including obtaining estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs and requirements (e.g.; permitting, etc.). Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion/consolidation projects. Plans and coordinates internal moves and relocations and coordinates planning for upgrades to existing facilities including the addition of cubes and offices and the re-designing of spaces. Responsible for managing all phases of and requirements associated with facility closings. 
5.Acts as the lead on due diligence matters relating to potential acquisition target facilities. Develop EH&S program gap analysis and integration plans. Lead efforts to bring successful acquisitions into compliance with Company EH&S standards. 
6.Act as point person for facilities emergency planning. Maintains emergency phone message line to alert employees when there is a power outage on campus or other event which affects business operations. 
7.Works with Information Systems and Human Resources departments to coordinate new hires, terminations, etc., as they pertain to office space, telephones, badges and parking.

Education:

Degree in Facilities Planning & Management or equivalent.
