Job description
Operates water treatment plant equipment in a seamless pipe plant. Observes control panel, records readings, and calculates solution temperatures and flow of treatment solutions using charts and graphs. Operates and controls electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate flow of raw water into treating plant. Dumps specified amounts of chemicals into water or adjust automatic devices that admit specified amounts of chemicals into tanks to filter, clean, and clarify water. Cleans tanks and filter beds, using backwashing water. Measures water quality using instruments.
Qualifications
High School / Diploma in Technical Training, with 3 years of experience in utilities, petrochemical or water treatment plants.
