Job description
• Accountable for merchandising, forward planning, stock management & maximizing the sales & profit contribution
• Ensure margin targets are achieved through timely management of stock allocation & replenishment, terminal stock management & retail price architecture
• Champion the brand effectively by ensuring right stock is in the right place at the right time, which leads to maximization of sales & profit margins & achievement of agreed targets
• Effectively plan & manage merchandise/stock based on sale forecast, subsequently accountable for sales / margin measurement
• Decide product procurement through host brand range reviews or direct negotiation, including in season buys
• Assess store execution of merchandising plans, recommend optimum space management options (where applicable) based on store trends / category sales performance.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level.
Knowledge of key commercial & planning systems
Excellent numerical/ analytical skills.
3 to 5 years in a merchandiser / allocator role ideally in a fashion (clothing) environment.
A strong previous experience as a merchandiser is required.
Good understanding of IT and financial and merchandise planning tools
Self Driven
Good interpersonal/ networking skills
