JOB OBJECTIVE:
To control & manage all Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC) activities in engineering disciplines and provide the appropriate
advise in line with standards, codes, rules & regulations
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
Establishing the company specifications, procedures, and standards as central technical resource for all engineering and
maintenance activities
Establishes and ensure adherence to standard of quality control in a number of maintenance and engineering related areas.
includes supervising the establishment and audit of standards in the inspection , ensuring that standards and codes for all
maintenance and engineering works are properly observed by review of reports and anther documentation, resolving any problems
of materials used in all plant and equipment
Ensure that project engineering standards comply with quality and integrity requirements and ensures through appropriate
processes that quality and integrity requirements are checked and applied at the various stages of new projects.
Ensure that a comprehensive management of change and anomaly tracking system is implemented.
Establishing rigs Inspection and certification manual for Hoisting Equipment, Cranes, wire ropes, Drilling Mast/Derrick
Structure, Subsurface Drilling Equipment, Pressure Equipment, and Jacking System
Establishing the company Asset Integrity Management System for rigs which consist of:
The technical integrity (pertaining to inspection, maintenance, and change control)
- The operation Integrity (pertaining to rig operation i.e. maintaining design intent and the operating envelope)
- The design integrity (pertaining to rig design development, engineering and construction)
Technical supports and also introducing technical solutions for quality issues
Conducting audits for assurance , verifications and corrective actions
Assessment that the rigs structure condition are meet the applicable codes / rules & classification society requirements and
this assessment will help to have a sound basis for decision on repairs
Dealing with the classification society for ensuring that the rigs certifications are in place
Ensuring that the levels of quality are met for rigs equipments and materials
Controlling the quality of major repairs and new constructions
Continuous Updating and reviewing the above generated and issued procedures / standards / Systems

Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Mechanical / Electrical / Nuclear / Structural Engineering Section
Experience:
At least 15 years in the same field with minimum 5 years in same position with offshore / onshore drilling contractor(s)
Skills:
Computer (Windows, MS Office)
