A Middle East bank based in Qatar is looking for a Domestic Chief Auditor.
Requirements:
> Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/accounting/banking or related subjects, ideally, professional certification such as CA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CIA/ CISA/ CISSP.
> Work experience of minimum 12 years in a major bank or audit firm of which at least 8 years must be in a managerial capacity in an audit or risk function in a bank in the GCC.
Responsibilities:
> Lead and manage the provisions of internal audit and related advisory services.
> Ensure adherence to internal auditing best practices, IT audit guidelines viz. CoBIT principles and the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
> Develop the annual internal audit plan for the Group’s domestic operations.
> Identify potential cost saving opportunities by highlighting process inefficiencies and ensure that budgetary targets are met.
> Liaise with the bank’s external auditors to complement the efforts of the Group Internal Audit.
> Assess and evaluate the risks in the operating environment and the work processes.
