Job Description : Phlebotomist, Qatar

Our client, a prestigious medical facility in Doha, Qatar has an opportunity available for a Phlebotomist. The successful applicant will report to the Chief Medical Technologist and Laboratory Director and be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens of good diagnostic quality for laboratory testing. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure appropriate conditions for transporting specimens to the laboratory. 
• Understand and comply with the principles of infection control and other relevant standards.
• Collection of blood and other specimens required for pathology testing from inpatients and outpatients.
• Follow good practice protocol in patient preparation and specimen collection technique including the use of appropriate collection device and container.
 

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Medical Technology with 2-4 years of relevant experience. 
• Excellent communications skills, with Arabic and English being essential and French desirable.
• Previous relevant experience within the GCC.
