Job Description
On behalf of our client, a world leader in mission-critical information systems, we are currently seeking numerous Field Engineers to join their team whom are involved in Dubai’s ground-breaking Metro project.
Based in Dubai and reporting into the Section Manager the Field Engineer is responsible for the organization, scheduling and controlling of all equipment inside the metro stations along the Dubai Red line route. His primary task will consist of the setup and management of all subcontractor resources associated with the Communication and SCADA systems of Dubai Red Line right up to the System Mechanical Completion and Visual check. The incumbent tasks consist of; verifying the proper preparation and accessibility of the predispositions-(brackets, embedding, pipes, boes..etc) in line with the construction blueprints; verifying the Subcontractor has the appropriate work permit and installation drawings for the involved area as well as the appropriate tools for equipment installation. Furthermore he/she will be expected to prepare 2 week look ahead schedules based on the project timeline whilst remaining hands-on a daily and weekly basis to update any necessary changes regarding design drawings after installation has been completed.
The ideal candidate will have over 3yrs Field Engineering experience, preferably within a Metro or Railway environment. SCADA knowledge is obligatory. Regional sub-contractor management exposure would also be welcomed. He/She will have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to drive and effectively communicate change. Finally the incumbent will be accustomed working in a complex, high volume, international team environment. English is mandatory.
