RAK Airways is the fourth national airline of the United Arab Emirates, established in February 2006 under an Emiri Decree by H.H. Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
The objective of RAK Airways is to support the economic development of the Emirate of Ras al Khaimah as it embarks upon an ambitious expansion program. The developments include economic free zones to attract businesses as well as residential, leisure and tourism projects.
RAK Airways will operate both charter and scheduled services to meet the demand of the various markets that the airline will serve. The airline will provide a high level of service to passengers whether scheduled or charter, aligned with the best service standards in the industry. This will open up the possibility of co-operation with other world class airlines in future to widen our passenger’s choice horizons further.
Responsibility:
1. Providing the technical department with updated technical data to support the operation of the company’s aircraft.
2.Responsible for the technical publications group which administers the entire company technical publications library.
3.Establish technical standards for maintenance, repair and overhaul of the company’s aircraft and associated equipment and components in conjunction with manufacturers, vendors and overhaul/maintenance agencies.
4.Evaluate and authorise embodiment of all manufacturers’ service bulletins, service letters, advice notes, leaflets, amendments to Maintenance and overhaul manuals and other similar technical documents.
5.Assist in the preparation of modification, repairs, design deviations, salvage scheme of materials and specifications for equipment etc.
6.Coordinate with VP Maintenance& Engineering and the AMO‘s technical materials manager in order to identify any compensations due from evaluation of aircraft general terms agreements (GTA) under performance guarantee provided for specific fleet type.
7.Request commitment / compensation from any manufacturer when there is deviation of design / quality of equipment against the interest of the company.
8.Participate in the technical aspects of major projects such as purchase of new equipment, new aircraft, major modifications, and the use of major maintenance contractors.
9.Maintain regular contacts with all technical and flight operations sections and keep them advised of all technical projects affecting their respective sections.
10.Initiate requests for local modification to improve performance and reliability and reduce costs of maintenance and overhaul without compromising airworthiness standards.
11.Access and evaluate manufacturers and regulatory technical data and recommend appropriate action to meet the above objectives.
12.Negotiation with manufacturers as necessary and producing manufacturers service Bulletins or other technical literature as company documentation.
13.Assist other sections in the resolution of aircraft defects and liaise with the aircraft maintenance section as required.
14.develop planning and technical records procedures and worksheets
15.Maintain a continuous daily check for newly issued airworthiness directives and mandatory service bulletins.
16.Recommend life development of aircraft, engines and components and amendments to maintenance programs.
17.Operate and administer a service bulletin / modification committee and follow up on actions recommended by the committee at monthly meetings.
18.Liaise with the Quality manager for the approval and authority for technical matters.
19.compile and evaluate reliability data and ad-hoc reports produced from the performance of the company’s aircraft and associated equipment and recommend changes to overhaul, maintenance and servicing requirments resulting from such data. This include engine condition and health monitoring program( ECM)ETOPS programs & Auto-land CAT II/III programs.
20.Seek methods for improving aircraft and component reliability and optimise maintenance cost.
Minimum Requirements:
1.B.Sc. Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
2.12 years experience in aircraft maintenance
5 years Engineering Services in Supervisory Role
3.Knowledge of GCAA, EASA, FAA rules and regulations pertaining Documentation and Certification
4.Computer literate
5.Good communication skills.
6.Good negotiation skills.
7.Ability to systemize case.
8.Experience on B757 & B737NG aircrafts
9.Technical Records and Library knowledge/supervision/experience
10.Engineering Planning Experience with large carrier/ maintenance organization
11.Experience with Engineering Technical Services works
12.Familiar with GTA & Third party Services functions
