Job Description:

Our client, a leading Islamic financial institution 
is looking for a Legal Advisor to join its legal 
department in Qatar. Working closely with the 
General Counsel, the successful applicant will 
advise on a broad range of legal issues covering 
banking transactions, intellectual property and 
litigation, as well as commercial matters such as 
licenses and employment contracts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Draft and review all types of agreements 
and contracts, both in English as well as Arabic.

• Provide legal opinions and respond to 
inquiries both verbally and in writing on issues 
affecting labor law, banking transactions, IT 
contracts etc.

• Review the bank's legal documentation and 
forms to comply with legal requirements and protect 
the bank's assets at all times.

• Negotiate with the counterparties and co- 
ordinate the execution of necessary documentation

• Liaise with lawyers representing the bank 
in the courts, following up execution of judgments, 
and recoveries.

Qualification Requirements:

• University degree in Law.

• Fluency in Arabic.

• At least two years in a similar position in a 
financial institution in the GCC.
