Job Description
The job-holder provides an integrated, comprehensive Marketing and Communication plan that supports the University’s mission and strategic goals. These responsibilities include Marketing and Communication strategy and its implementation, media, and public relations.
Communication strategy;
- Advise Management on the development of communication and media strategy, and take a lead role in both development and implementation;
- Manage tactical communications with key partners and communities contributing to enhanced reputation (locally and internationally);
- Propose, develop and implement an annual, strategic, and special events calendar;
- Ensure all events are planned to capture the attention of the intended audience and the media, and to provide the greatest return to University.
- Manage the production of each event ensuring all appropriate sponsorships are achieved and all details are managed in a creative, timely and cost efficient manner.
- Manage and prioritize all corporate publications and advertising.
Qualifications and Specific Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in journalism, marketing, public relations preferred; knowledge of the GCC area.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in similar position and sector, with demonstrated success;
