Qatar Foundation is an established organization, with a variety of Centres, programs and plans for expansion, our process began with designing/reworking the mission statement of the Foundation and the Centres and then looking at the broader issues of vision.
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a private, chartered, non-profit organization headquartered in Doha, Qatar. The Foundation hosts branch campuses of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, Weill Cornell Medical College, Texas A & M University, Carnegie Mellon University and Georgetown University. It is also home to Qatar Academy, the Learning Center, the Academic Bridge Program, the Rand-Qatar Policy Institute, Al-Shaqab Stud and Riding Academy, Fitch Qatar and Qatar Science and Technology Park. Qatar Foundation’s other projects include the Qatar Diabetes Association and the Social Development Center.
Responsibilities
• Prepare annual balance sheet
• Prepare financial input for QNRF semi-annual reports to QFSR
• Prepare monthly financial reports to the Executive Director and to the QNRF Governing Board at each of its meetings
• Provide the Executive Director and other QNRF management with financial reports required for the execution of their work
Requirements
• Advanced degree in finance, accounting or a related degree
• Familiarity with internationally accepted practices in accounting and contract negotiations
• Familiarity with Qatari legal structures preferred
• Strong attention to detail required
• English language fluency required, Arabic strongly preferred
• 5-10 years work in finance with progressive responsibility
• Experience with a grant-giving organization preferred
