Job description
Under the overall guidance and the directives of the Project Executive Director, the incumbent will contribute to the timely and effective management, coordination and implementation of the new Doha Port Project (NDPP) In particular; the incumbent will be the single point of responsibility for the planning of port operations and maintenance and perform the following duties but not limited to: - Coordinate and liaise with all project stakeholders, including the Customs and Ports General Authority; the Qatar Navy; the Qatar Coastguard; the Amiri Yachts Protocol; the Qatar Flour Mills Company; the Livestock Terminal operator; the Vehicle Carrier terminal operators; the Offshore Supply Vessel operators and the various utility services companies and emergency services; and other official users. - Determine and define the requirements of the parties mentioned above and ensure that these requirements are accurately transferred to the Project Executive Director and the other Executive Managers for incorporation in the project design and scope. - Assist in the preparation of coherent plans and policies which contribute to the timely opening and effective management of the New Doha Port, the plans include, port operation policy, safety and Security, operational training and port operational readiness.
Qualifications
This is a senior position and the incumbent should have a track record of drive and coordinating a team and interacting/ coordinating with multiple levels including at government level. § 15 years relevant port management experience § 10 Years professional experience in a senior management position, e.g. Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Port Master § Good management & leadership skills § Good personnel and public relations skills § Current or previous Middle East experience is desirable § Fluent in English language.
