Legal Advisor
Our client, a leading independent investment and finance house with a Head Office in the GCC is looking for a Legal Advisor to join its team in Riyadh. It has an extensive portfolio of clients and a record of being a key player in advising financial transactions across the MENA region over the past two decades. Since initiating its private equity activities, this investment bank has developed into one of the leading players in the private equity sector. The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national, who has experience of the Saudi market. However, other nationalities will be considered, provided that they have extensive knowledge of the Saudi Arabian financial market.
Responsibilities:
You will have hands-on experience in corporate and commercial matters, capital markets and must be familiar with CMA regulations. You will be involved with assisting the team and senior members of the Legal Department, in reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements, MOU’s, LOIs and other legal documents. You will assist senior members of the legal department in drafting and executing legal corporate documents such as shareholders’ resolutions, amendments to Articles of Association and share transfer agreements and liaise with external counsel.
Requirements:
You will have a Bachelor’s degree in law from Saudi Arabia or a J.D, LLB or a LLM from a Western university. The bank is seeking a 1-3 PQE lawyer with experience in a top International/UK/US Law firm or a leading Investment Bank or a Finance House based in Saudi Arabia. Candidates should have experience in dealing with various governmental bodies such as SAGIA, CMA, MOCI, though this is preferred but is not essential. Candidates having exposure to private equity will be a bonus. As a pre requisite all candidates must be fluent in English and Arabic, be able to demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills and a willingness to succeed and grow with the firm.
