The Embassy of Canada in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Property and Material Officer. The incumbent will manage the planned and reactive property maintenance and purchase programs for the Embassy, as well as maintain property inventories; manage the Embassys relationship with contractors and supervise contractors working on site, manage the Embassys relationships with the owners of staff residences, assist in the management of property and security budgets, and perform other duties as per requirement. The person we are seeking will have: - Proven experience in property management and maintenance. - Demonstrated organization skills, including the ability to manage projects and to handle a large number of tasks at the same time. - Capability to follow-up and see tasks through to completion. - Proficiency in general office duties, including use of computers and Microsoft Office programs. - Written and oral communications skills in English. French and Arabic languages would be an asset. - Motivation and flexibility: willingness to learn new skills, take initiative, undertake a range of duties as required, work independently and as part of a team.
