Engineering Manager, Towers & Galvanizing, Zamil Steel Industries

Job Purpose:
This position leads and manages the engineering team involved in the activities of Engineering Department for designing, detailing and estimation of transmission towers, telecommunication towers and sub-station structures. This position also provides planning, direction and coordination for all design, drafting / drawing and estimation activities for achieving optimum utilization of manpower.

Skills

Person Specification:
- 4-5 years Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Post graduate qualifications in Structural Engineering and registration as Professional Engineer is highly desirable.
- 15 years relevant experience, out of which 5 years should be in a senior position.
- Proficient in the use of design software (such as STAAD, GT STRUDL, i Tower etc.), proprietary engineer, MS Office suite, and other common desktop computer utilities.
- In-depth knowledge of international and national building codes and design standards.
- ISO 9001 awareness.
- Possess strong technical and analytical skills and innovative problem solving capability
- Possess ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple on-going tasks
-Team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal and communications skills in local and English language.
- Office environment, subject to stress caused by tasks, tight deadlines and heavy workload.

Education

4-5 years Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
