	 Electrical Technician / Electrician - Smelter (Ref: EMO/S/2009) 
The Post
• Uses test equipment [Megger, Multimeter, Laptop PC); reads schematic diagrams, diagnoses and repairs faults on a wide range of equipment.
• Assesses situations and takes appropriate corrective decisions.
• Reads and interprets electrical wiring diagrams, troubleshoots, modifies and maintains machineries.
• Conducts Root Cause Failure Analysis [RCFA) and reliability Centered Maintenance [RCM) techniques.
• Checks and modifies PLC programs.
The Person
• Higher Diploma in Electronics or Electrical and / or Bachelor's degree in Science.
• 3 years' experience in electrical maintenance of industrial plants.
Bulk material processes i.e., automated material conveyance systems. Multi-purpose electric overhead traveling cranes [5 t 45 t capacity). Electrical Control Center [MCC).
• Permit—To-work knowledge and application up to 1OOOv minimum. AC and DC Motor maintenance [380-660v electrical systems).
• Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Smelter Steel, Iron foundries, network control IMS/SCADA/CMAC Allen Bradley & or Siemens PLC Multi Purpose Cranes, Intelligent Devices [Motor Managers, POM), Frequency Converter drives and shift work experience
• Knowledge of SAP system is an added advantage.
