Description: 
 
To manage, develop and mentor Trainee Engineers and Junior Technicians in all aspects of their practical development. To facilitate comprehensive practical technical training strategies to ensure all training competencies are completed in a timely and effective manner. This will include developing an OJT program for the Trainees, Practical training courses for new equipment/ technologies, refresher Training on A/C systems/servicing for all Line Maintenance based staff etc. To develop courses and course material as required to meet Etihad’s corporate vision. 
 
Qualifications: 
 
• A valid GCAA license and or EASA Part 66 /ICAOII and /or an appropriate Engineering degree  
• Recognized Apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline:
 
Experience: 
 
• Minimum 10 years experience in Line/ Base Maintenance.
• 5 years experience in a training role.

Training:

• Formal technical training in at least 1 Etihad aircraft types 
• Certified trainer or recognized training qualification

Knowledge:

• Well developed communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent knowledge of engineering standards appropriate for an International airline
• In depth knowledge of Aviation regulations (e.g. UAE GCAA or EASA)
• Excellent command of English language
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications)
• Excellent presentation skills
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
