Job Description:
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities • To review, inspect, clarify, interpret and develop detailed scope of work for every project/job being enquired by the client. • To ensure additional jobs an variation orders raised by the operations / LOBs are duly signed by the customer prior to undertaking the job and ensuring that all concerned personnel are aware of the alteration in the scope of work. • To assist the operations for better planning an also assist the Invoicer in the preparation of the actual billing if needed. • To monitor the given job in progress with the estimated time frame and budgeted cost & plan. • To coordinate with other departments within the Company for issues relating to all kinds of resource plans for cost estimation of jobs • To update the estimation manager on the activities and progress of the projects and related activities should there be any deviation from the budgeted plan.
Profile:
Experience as an estimator in ship repair, ship yards and / or Heavy Industrial Repair Services Proven ability to develop detailed scope of work, bar charts and plans for every project/job being estimated. Should be familiar with all activities, requirements and resources concerning repair and refit of ships.
Education: Basic - Bachelor of Technology/Engineering ( Marine )
