Job description
Carries out skilled maintenance, calibration and repair work on a variety of analytical Instruments deployed at the QATARGAS facilities, on stream, off stream and portable. The scope also includes maintaining functionality of all analyzer found in the Operations Laboratory.
Qualifications
a) Carries out routine monitoring and checking to maintain high, on stream availability factors of all analyzer systems. Reporting problems and solutions to the Analyzer Foreman. b) Receives instructions, work orders and safe permits for the troubleshooting, repair, calibration, replacement or overhaul requirements of Analyzers, Probes/Sensors on a plant wide basis. c) Maintains, all analyzers and associated equipment deployed in the Operations laboratory. d) Carries out modifications, changes and data collection of Analyzers and sample systems. e) Assist Senior Analyzer technician in pre-commissioning/commissioning, modifications and shutdown activities. f) Performs routine checks of sample handling systems and Carrier/Calibration Gas Cylinder replacements. g) Ensure that all the work is carried-out in accordance with the safe working procedures, safety permits and regulations.
