Job Description:
MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - African Markets. DUBAI. Western Expat Preferred. Due to expansion, a great opportunity is available within a multinational corporation involved in the FMCG food sector. The purpose of this role is to maximize sales of the brands’ portfolio through the formulation and delivery of key sales strategies across assigned markets. The post holder will develop the territory through local distributor organizations, monitor results and recommend improvements for ROI.
Job Responsibilities:
• Monitor and strive to constantly improve ROI of all distributor activities. (E.g. POS, field sales, promotion plans, etc.).
• Manage distributor / trade relations and daily sales operations in the North and West Africa region.
• Provide direction, support and timely communication with the relevant distributor field sales teams to ensure that market plans are executed.
• Be the internal expert on distributors / markets.
• Work with the Head of Sales in providing insight & understanding of customer and category risks & opportunities to direct the organization's regional strategy.
• Coordinate and, where necessary, find solutions for day-to-day supply chain issues.
• Improve distributor trade and key accounts by setting up detailed strategies.
Qualification Requirements:
• Minimum five years African market FMCG sales experience.
• Educated to degree level.
• Dubai-based office role with frequent travel to Africa and the UK.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• English as the first language, and French would be advantages.
