Due to continuing expansion and its success in the market place, ADSB is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for its shipyard in Mussafah, for the following position: The ideal candidates would have a Bachelors degree and are qualified Certified Chartered Accountant/Certified Management Accountant (ACA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA) with 3-5 years experience in Cost Control / Management Accountant role is essential.
The Project Cost Controller role will act as a primary focus for project cost estimating, tracking and analysis.
He/she will be responsible for cost management functions e.g., budgets, expenditures, reporting, forecasts and cash flow for one or more projects.
Duties will include but not limited to the following: Assist in preparing of project cost estimate of resources and other expenses through discussions with functional leaders in a timely manner using generic cost structure, which is suitable for cost tracking in the project life cycle; Develop and generate periodical project cost reports for each project for monitoring the progress of the project; Perform cost analysis and advise project leaders on cost over-runs in a timely manner so the corrective actions can be taken; Develop, maintain and update cash flow for the project to manage the cash flows; Liaise with internal divisions including the Accounts Dept. to provide/obtain necessary information related to the project; Liaise with external parties like customers, vendors and insurers for project related matters including extensive correspondence with bank for obtaining banking facilities, hedging of project exposure and other operational matters.
Incumbent must possess demonstrated well-developed skills in MS Office Suite in order to create well structured documents, spreadsheets, presentations, proposals, and other documents.
Proven presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, including the confidence and ability to present information effectively to any audience including clients, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
Demonstrated high level of prioritization, time management, analytical, coordination and problem solving skills.
