A leading Middle East based bank urgently requires a Risk Infrastructure and Governance Executive to join its dynamic team in Qatar.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
> Applicants must be a Master’s degree holder.
> Preference to applicants with qualification in finance, economics or related subjects.
> Possessing professional certification such as PRM, CPA, CFA etc. eill be an advantage.
> Work experience of at least 10 years in banking or with International Audit / consultancy firms in the GCC is needed.
> Should possess superior knowledge of Basel II Accord, with particular emphasis on credit related issues, credit modelling�
methodologies and the related capital adequacy requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Support the Group Chief Risk Officer.
> Advise the board on current risk exposures of the bank and future risk strategy, including the strategy for capital�
and liquidity management, with due consideration to the macroeconomic and financial environment.
> Develop portfolio credit risk measurement processes appropriate to the needs of the bank.
> Provide a qualitative assessment on the level of risks assumed and recommend corrective action.
> Develop models to undertake independent and ongoing monitoring and reporting of liquidity position.
> Update with regulatory changes pertaining to risk and assess their impact on the different portfolio risk profiles.
> Test and verify portfolio credit risk measurement systems and processes against their predefined model assumptions.
