Prince Salman Center for Disability Research requires EDUCATIONAL SPECIALIST
Qualifications
• Master degree in special education, preferably in the area of learning disabilities,
• candidate should be bilingual (English / Arabic) and is able to communicate well in English.
Experience :
• Taught or advised students who have learning disabilities for at least three years, preferably at the high school or college levels.
Responsibilities:
1. Work directly, in a men’s college, with students and assist them to overcome their academic difficulties, time management, study skills, organization, and attention.
2. Provide individual instructional support and skill development in the areas of reading, writing, study skills, and assistive technology skills.
3. Help students develop communication skills to monitor their own behavior and academic progress, and advocate for themselves with their teachers.
4. work with faculty members to provide accommodation for their students in implementing their curricula.
5. Supervise tutors who work directly with students
6. Assist the Director in providing training to faculty, staff, and others at a local university.
