Job Description:
A leading company in offshore industry is looking for a highly
motivated candidate to fill the IT Support Engineer in their Qatar Operation.
Job Responsibilities:
> Adhere to QHSE policies of the Company.
> Managing windows servers, network switches and firewalls.
> Problem escalation, network management reports and trend analysis.
> Coordination of equipment replacement for service restoration.
> Support end users for all hardware and software problems including network,
printer, email and business applications.
> User support service; take ownership and manage all support cases via ticketing systems,
provide regular updates to end users/ requesters and close tickets within agreed timescales.
> Vendor escalation, chase 3rd party vendors and suppliers for regular updates and escalate where necessary.
> Configuration of network/firewall nodes in response to Incident/Service requests.
> Focus on process improvement in the support department to increase efficiency.
Qualification Requirements:
> Bachelor’s Degree in IT/ Computers / Communication or any related field.
> Excellent communication skills.
> Extensive knowledge in Marine communication systems.
> Must be a good team player.
> Microsoft certification is highly desirable.
> CCNA certification is a must
> Minimum five years’ experience in maintenance and operation of small to medium networks and proven experience in IT Support.
> Troubleshooting issues related to owned and managed network and security devices e.g. switches, firewalls, Routers etc.
> Experience in systems management, monitoring and repair of Servers, PCs, Peripheral equipment and software installation.
