MEP Manager
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
• with a minimum of 20 years of related experience; significant experience on large-scale projects utilizing western materials and methods. A blend of GC and program management experience is preferred; solid knowledge of MEP systems;
• extensive MEP and experience on technically-demanding project through system startup and commissioning is required.
• Must have Middle-East experience;
• must speak fluent Arabic and English.
• Western experience is an advantage;
Responsibilities :
• Supervises all the MEP construction engineers, estimators, and subcontractors and coordinates their activities with other field activities;
• establishes and maintains effective communication with the design engineer to ensure the timely flow of design documents and information;
• coordinates, in conjunction with the contract administration group, the technical administration of MEP contracts;
• reviews design drawings for completeness and constructability;
• provides technical interpretation of design documents in support of MEP engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors and provides specific expertise and leadership for problem-solving activities;
• provides technical evaluation of bid proposals; monitors the status of material deliveries to avoid schedule delays;
• maintains liaison with the design engineer to schedule and coordinate the release of construction design documents in support of the construction schedule;
• monitors the receipt of matted-up drawings and information required for the preparation of as-built drawings;
• enforces compliance with health, safety, QA / QC requirements and policies.
