ETABS Model
Modelling part:
1.Creating the different kind structure with respect to the architecture such as
‘L’ shape
‘T shape
Half-moon shape
Star shape
Complicated RCC structure
Steel structure — Roof steel structure, Pargola design, Ware house shed,
2.Checking the forces/Reaction with respect the ETABS model and to liaise with Manual calculation.
3. Assigning the Diaphragm – Wind force. (Different standards such as BS, ACI)
4.Assigning the load cases – Gravity loads such as (Finished, Live load) – (BS / ACI)
5.Assigning the seismic force with different zones. (UBC 97)
6.Understanding the load mechanism of structure.
7.Assigning the modulus of elasticity with respect to BS/ACI and also for higher grade of concrete.
Structural Analysis part:
1.Assigning the load combination with respect to BS / ACI and UBC 97
2.Construction sequence analysis.
3.Response spectrum case.
4.P-Delta Analysis.
5.Stress and Failure analysis
6.Discuss about the dynamic cases with respect to static cases.
7.Extracting the Forces, Moments from structural 3D model.
8.Calculate the displacement due to wind and the same need to cross check with respect to the codes.
Design part:
1.Column Design with respect to BS / ACI
2.Wall Design – Core wall and Shear wall design with respect to BS / ACI
3.Beam Design with respect to BS / ACI
4.Extracting the Reinforcement details from ETABS.
5.Extracting the stresses due to temperature.
6.Updating the design reinforcement in the model and checking the utilization ratio from the 3D structural model.
7.Understanding the placement of reinforcement in columns and walls and Beams.
SAFE Model
Modelling part:
1.Creating the different kind of slab shapes with respect to the Architecture.
2.Importing the DXF file from Autocad for different kind of structure.
3.If required modelling the column, walls, beams & slabs.
4.Assigning the load cases – Gravity loads such as (Finished, Live load) – (BS / ACI)
Structural Analysis part:
1.Assigning the load combination with respect to BS / ACI and UBC 97
2.Assigning the Vertical and Horizontal spring constant of Pile foundation.
3.Assigning the subgrade modulus of raft foundation.
4.Extracting the Forces, Moments from structural 3D model.
5.Extracting the reaction from structural 3D model.
6.Punching shear check.
7.Creating the envelop combination to extract the critical forces from the 3D structural model.
