EHS Officer
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree /M.Sc Environment Sciences Six to eight years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Description
• lead the development and implementation of EHS programs and systems.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS standards, improve and implement safety directions and Performa.
• Compliance to EHS procedures (Green Book), Local and Federal Government regulations. (Including all Environmental, safety, health and safety, Audits and Inspections, record keeping, trainings).
• Responsible for the Effective fire fighting/prevention program i.e. maintaining fire fighting equipment in good condition, record keeping, inspections and fire drills.
• Responsible for the application and determination of integrity of the following programs
- Site waste Management program, Safety Management Plan, Emergency Evacuation Plan, Health and Safety procedures compliance, Environmental procedures compliance, Annual Health Screening of the site, Site Hygiene program, Site housekeeping plan
• Performs EHS risk assessments, environmental impact, audits etc
• Promotes EHS awareness through safety talks and bulletins and site EHS committee
• Maintain management of change record.
