Principal Mechanical Engineer of Static Equipment and CCS, UAE
Our client, a global Middle East based energy organization is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer of Static Equipment to join its CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage project Cycle) team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Carbon Capture and Storage project cycle and coordinating and supporting project activities with respect to the design and construction of mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Check and ensure design of mechanical equipment is optimum and fit for the purpose.
• Lead and carry out the facilities master planning and the statement of requirements in the FEED/EPC stage.
• Support the consultant in the mechanical studies carried out in the FEED/EPC stage by providing technical and economical evaluation advice.
• Review and approve mechanical engineering specifications, drawings, datasheets and calculations including design modification generated at construction sites.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years experience in oil & gas sectors related to the design of static equipments such as: fired heaters, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, boilers, etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of EPC industry practices, international codes and standards such as: ASME, API, Shell DEP and TEMA in the energy industry in the Middle East.
