Job Description:
A leading bank in the UAE is seeking to hire a Legal Advisor to join their team in Sharjah. The objective of the role is to provide the management with comprehensive and accurate legal advice in an efficient and effective manner. Reporting to the CEO, the responsibilities are to update the management on all relevant legal issues/government regulations pertaining to the UAE, draft and review all legal contracts and agreements to ensure legal alignment and suggest enhancements to existing policy, procedures and documents. You are also expected to regularly review security-related documents and suggest enhancements aligned to 'banking best practices' in the context of international and local legal developments and court decisions. In addition, you will liaise with external legal entities such as law firms, lawyers and legal experts, debt collectors, government authorities, account experts (appointed by Courts) and the Central Bank in order to have legal communication and positive result.
Profile:
To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law with minimum 5 years of experience in practicing law in the UAE financial services industry. Proficiency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
