HIDADA was established in 1982, as a subsidiary of Xenel Group, a globally renowned industrial group based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is a leading steel fabricator and contractor for construction of storage tanks in the region.
Until 1982 the company operated as Saudi Booth, a small fabrication workshop run by a saudi businessman in partnership with Bolton (UK) based John Booth & Company.
HIDADA has grown steadily to become a leading supplier of steel products to the Middle East and international markets. Since 1982 the company has increased its annual production capacity from 2,000 tons to over 200,000 tons of diversified and specialized steel products catering to various sectors such as the power, oil & gas, petrochemicals, defence & aviation, seaports, high-rise buildings, cement plants, metal smelters, water desalination plant and other industries.
Job description
Plan, organize, direct and control the complete procurement functions and coordinate the procurement activities within the company as well as with vendors Keep close coordination with the concerned internal departments regarding upcoming material requirements in order to take pro-active steps to reserve and secure materials Keep abreast of the latest developments in the market and explore new sources, assess them and evaluate their performance as per the company procedures in this regard Conduct negotiations with vendors and enter into frame agreements with major mills.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Min. 10 years experience in the occupation in similar industrial environment. Conversant with international trade and business processes Knowledge of material codes and specifications Excellent communication skill in English and working knowledge in Arabic Excellent negotiation skill especially in dealing with multinational sales and marketing professionals Effective managerial and leadership skills
